Wrestling Promo Commission
Working with models is sometimes difficult, especially if the model isn't reacting well in the environment you are working in. After struggling with a few models during this semester through model calls, I have decided to invite an old friend on set who I know reacts confidently in front of the camera. Natalie has a lot of experience modelling, being my main focus in A-level photography, and working as a wrestler part-time where she is consistently being photographed for promotions and event advertisements.
In return of modelling for my latest project, I said I would take some updated photos for her in her new wrestling costume. I researched some of the styles she already had on her professional social medias and asked what theme she was aiming for. Natalie wanted a bright white background that made her outfit pop to draw focus to it. I really enjoyed this photoshoot because it wasn't as serious as my normal photoshoots, and I had chance to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. However, I did struggle lighting the model's legs as she was wearing darker tights to her natural skin tone, so I had to lighten them in post-production.
Natalie also posted all of the final edited images on her professional Instagram account and tagged my photography account so my work is being exposed to all of her 'followers' which gave me a larger following too.
