Pablo Antoli Website Review

Pablo Antoli also creates a strong digital identity through his website theme. Differently to Sophie Trainer, Pablo uses a monotone house style, allowing the colours of the photos to pop against the white background. I think the monotonetheme works really well and links to the clean and perhaps effortlessly simple aesthetic reflected within his images.

The images appear to use a lot of natural lighting, often found in documentary photography which Antoli has combined with food photography in his practice. The use of natural light suggests realness and naturalness.

Pablo uses a similar layout of multiple categorised portfolios to show the process of his work; Stories, Food and Journeys. However, the artist uses more negative space around the photos to perhaps enforce the clean theme and help the audiencefocus on one image at a time. This website feels less compact with more room to breath. I would definitely associate theoverall style of this website as a food or product photography with a clean aesthetic.

Overall, I think the flow between the headings really works as you are prompted to view his 'stories' section, moving on to food photography and then 'journeys'. This perhaps shows his work process showing a balance between commercial work and the meaning behind it which is presented through a documentary style. However, I think some of the images are a bit too small even on a desktop computer and would benefit to have an option to enlarge so the audience can see all the details of each image.
